Four Seasons - Illume

Four Seasons required a new brand platform to encapsulate their annual FS conference. This conference brings together the FS hotel managers and owners for a week of discussion, celebration, learning and enlightenment.

For this task we sculpted a piece of unique typography for their logo-word, which complimented their brand font bellow, used in the tagline. This along with a fitting spark of illumination logo-mark, worked together to to form a beautifully crafted and understated identity, which works perfectly as an extension of the umbrella brand Four Seasons.

The Bresolin

The Bresolin is a truly stunning bar and restaurant located in Wellington, New Zealand. Photography and a menu design was required along with a sleek new website.

The style of the website and photography was rooted in rustic simplicity, drawing from forest greens, brass, and warm whites. Selecting certain textures was also an important element to consider and include, as the visual tangibility goes some way to help convey their wholesome, beautiful foods and finely crafted drinks.

The branding and packaging outcome was a marriage between the backdrop of a cool contemporary grey and a retro-feeling typeface, which informed pattern making in later pieces of collateral such as the tissue paper. Keeping free flowing space a priority, as well as introducing a gold foil, reinforced an element of luxury in an otherwise understated but chic design.

What’s better than staying at a Four Seasons hotel? Taking a private jet to visit and stay in eight of them while also exploring some truly remarkable countries.

To help promote this uniquely high-end experience, we created an extension of their on-screen campaign via a translation into print. Covering a double spread in a range of luxury travel magazines, we formulated simple, elegant, and picturesque birds eye-view snapshots of the resorts and hotels, bringing together the concept of flight and showcasing the accomodation simultaneously.

Wellington Chocolate Factory make NZ’s highest quality, organic, ethically sourced and traded, award-winning, bean to bar chocolate.

If that wasn’t enough, all of their packaging artwork is created by local artists to reflect their home-grown, artisan values. I was lucky enough to work on a limited edition summer themed chocolate bar, which celebrated both the iconic WCF and it’s collaboration partner Zany Zeus; a high-concept creamery specialising in eclectic organic ice cream & cheese. For this design I featured Gina Kiel’s Zeus brand Character, and illustrated him partaking in fun and quirky beach-time activities.

After being a beacon of fashion for 25 years, Hurricane Denim deserved a well considered re-fresh to help celebrate their history and form a timeless approach looking forward.

When discussing the owners and operators family history, it came to surface that the visual of a light-house standing strong amidst of a storm, would be fitting as their new central icon. Hurricane Denim now has a full store fit-out, with electric blue neons fashioned to fit an old-school vibe, on brand tote bags, uniforms, & an array of print collateral.

Due to the written nature of the experience and solutions gained from this new company’s service, as well as the visual associations with the noun ‘Distillery’, a typographically heavy and functional feeling branding experience was born.

Wonderland New Zealand is a platform which helps connect international tourism with local businesses, creating an easy way for travelers to book accommodation, find the best kept secrets in each town, and scout deals for activities.

The first step for our Wonderland client, was to create a brand identity which would then go on to inform the look and style of their app and website. The foundation of this new identity was based in earthy, grounded vibes, helping to reflect the heart of what NZ represents. This logo was special in that it felt charismatic and retro, while still pulling a contemporary look when placed on top of digitally painted artworks.

For this task we sculpted a piece of unique typography for their logo-word, which complimented their brand font bellow, used in the tagline. This along with a fitting spark of illumination logo-mark, worked together to to form a beautifully crafted and understated identity, which works perfectly as an extension of the umbrella brand Four Seasons.

The Bresolin

The Bresolin is a truly stunning bar and restaurant located in Wellington, New Zealand. Photography and a menu design was required along with a sleek new website.

The style of the website and photography was rooted in rustic simplicity, drawing from forest greens, brass, and warm whites. Selecting certain textures was also an important element to consider and include, as the visual tangibility goes some way to help convey their wholesome, beautiful foods and finely crafted drinks.

An augmented reality app and software technology which allows the user to experience a product or training program in the physical space around them.

A wide spectrum of collateral was created, from learning and marketing material, to front end web design and a new take on Nextech’s logo and visual identity. The foundation of this material was based in digital blues, clean intersecting lines, and layered imagery breaking typical confinement, echoing the product’s capability and functionality.

The branding and packaging outcome was a marriage between the backdrop of a cool contemporary grey and a retro-feeling typeface, which informed pattern making in later pieces of collateral such as the tissue paper. Keeping free flowing space a priority, as well as introducing a gold foil, reinforced an element of luxury in an otherwise understated but chic design.

Four Seasons - Private Jet

What’s better than staying at a Four Seasons hotel? Taking a private jet to visit and stay in eight of them while also exploring some truly remarkable countries.

To help promote this uniquely high-end experience, we created an extension of their on-screen campaign via a translation into print. Covering a double spread in a range of luxury travel magazines, we formulated simple, elegant, and picturesque birds eye-view snapshots of the resorts and hotels, bringing together the concept of flight and showcasing the accomodation simultaneously.

Wellington Chocolate Factory Illustration

Wellington Chocolate Factory make NZ’s highest quality, organic, ethically sourced and traded, award-winning, bean to bar chocolate.

If that wasn’t enough, all of their packaging artwork is created by local artists to reflect their home-grown, artisan values. I was lucky enough to work on a limited edition summer themed chocolate bar, which celebrated both the iconic WCF and it’s collaboration partner Zany Zeus; a high-concept creamery specialising in eclectic organic ice cream & cheese. For this design I featured Gina Kiel’s Zeus brand Character, and illustrated him partaking in fun and quirky beach-time activities.

Hurricane Denim

After being a beacon of fashion for 25 years, Hurricane Denim deserved a well considered re-fresh to help celebrate their history and form a timeless approach looking forward.

When discussing the owners and operators family history, it came to surface that the visual of a light-house standing strong amidst of a storm, would be fitting as their new central icon. Hurricane Denim now has a full store fit-out, with electric blue neons fashioned to fit an old-school vibe, on brand tote bags, uniforms, & an array of print collateral.

The Distillery

An award winning former Chief Strategy Officer from JWT, stepped out to form a strategic planning group.

Due to the written nature of the experience and solutions gained from this new company’s service, as well as the visual associations with the noun ‘Distillery’, a typographically heavy and functional feeling branding experience was born.

Wonderland

Wonderland New Zealand is a platform which helps connect international tourism with local businesses, creating an easy way for travelers to book accommodation, find the best kept secrets in each town, and scout deals for activities.

The first step for our Wonderland client, was to create a brand identity which would then go on to inform the look and style of their app and website. The foundation of this new identity was based in earthy, grounded vibes, helping to reflect the heart of what NZ represents. This logo was special in that it felt charismatic and retro, while still pulling a contemporary look when placed on top of digitally painted artworks.
